Race Results & Reports

Sea Cavalcade Mile, July 23, Gibsons

The new course was well-received and had the advantage of starting within the parade route with many spectators lining the highway for the start and first 100m. Weather was perfect and there were more kids than ever this year! Next year we'll definitely be splitting up the 9 and Under age group in to 6 and Under and 7-9. Our top 3 females were all in the 10-12 age group! Congrats to overall winner Jordan Wilson, running exactly the same time as last year's winner, 4:40; and to Bridget Graham, first female in 6:23. Full results and photos are here.

Halfmoon Bay Trophy Run, July 10

After some stormy rainy days in the week before, the sun came out for a perfect day at the Halfmoon Bay Country Fair. The run started at 9:30 at Connor Park and ended at Cooper's Green, with 5.4 km of rolling net downhill road in between. Larry took off right away; Alex and Teresa ran together for a while, then Teresa pulled ahead during the second half, to be nipped at the line by a fast-charging Alex (as usual)! Results below.

1. Larry Nightingale 21:04
2. Alex Nightingale 24:17
3. Teresa Nightingale 24:18
4. Geoff Bevan 25:55
5. Ryan Daly 26:13
6. Doug Cameron 26:58
7. Allison Feenstra 29:31
8. Jenn Merrett 34:42
