Race Results & Reports

PaceSetter 5-Dollar 5K Series Summer 2017 Event #5, September 10, Gibsons

We were lucky with the weather once again, with a cool cloudy morning giving way to sunshine. Thirty-one participants came out to test their speed and many ran their fastest yet in the series! Full results can be found here.

Stay tuned for details of our next series, a BREWERY/DISTILLERY RUN SERIES in October and November!

Run the Rock Marathon, Half & 8k, August 27, Gillies Bay, Texada Isl.

The seventh annual Run the Rock was held under sunny skies with a light breeze. It was fairly warm to begin with, but after 10:30 it got really hot for the 8k-ers and final finishers in the longer distances. Larry and Teresa treated the half as a training run but managed to place 2nd and 4th overall, winning the masters categories. PaceSetter Club members Mathew Wilson and Roberta Sim did the half and 8k, respectively, their first time at Run the Rock, and both placed top 3 in their divisions. Full results can be found here.

PaceSetter 5-Dollar 5K Series Summer 2017 Event #4, August 20, Gibsons

A perfect morning for a run, partly cloudy and cool, with the sun warming things up afterward. A small but enthusiastic group came out to challenge themselves over 5k. Full results can be found here.

Next Series event, #5 (last one), will be September 10 at Persephone Brewing. 10am start. See PaceSetter Athletic for details and registration. See you there!

Four Lakes 10k & 3k, August 13, Garden Bay

The first rain in ages cleaned up the air and kept the temperature cool, ideal for racing! First to complete the 10k were Shaun Stephens-Whale and Kimberley Doerksen. Full results can be found here.
